Re: Best teleconverter for my Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II Lens? In reply to ChicagoRaymond • May 16, 2019 I've found Kenko's latest to be better than my Nikon TC's.
The 70 - 200 mm focal length of this Nikon camera lens makes it ideal for sports and wildlife photography. With a construction of 21 elements in 15 groups, this 70 – 200 mm f/2.8G lens effectively corrects aberrations while you shoot. VR image stabilization technology featured by this Nikon camera lens combats mechanical shakes while shooting
The new AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/4G ED VR is a compact, fixed-aperture F4 zoom designed for use on Nikon's new generation of FX format DSLRs. Smaller in all dimensions than its more costly F2.8 cousin, the slimmed-down $1400 lens has been long-awaited by Nikon users looking jealously at Canon's venerable EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM.
I had the one-ring version of the 80-200mm f/2.8D. Focus speed was only slightly slower than the 2-ring version, but noticeably slower than the 70-200mm f/2.8 VR-II I replaced it with. I can find the older non VR lens in the $500 range and have seen the VR II in the $1,500 range.
